Bulldog Women's Track & Field Rockets to No. 10 in the USTFCCCA Division III Outdoor Rankings

Bulldog Women's Track & Field Rockets to No. 10 in the USTFCCCA Division III Outdoor Rankings

It was announced earlier today by the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) that the University of Redlands women's track & field team flew up the most recent NCAA Division III national rankings to No. 10 in the country, just days before the start of the NCAA Outdoor Championships.  This was an 11-spot jump from the previous poll and places the Bulldogs in the top 10 for the first time this season.  This is the program's second-highest ranking in history, following 2011's No. 8 showing.

This USTFCCCA top-25 poll is determined by a mathematical formula that calculates points from the NCAA Division III Descending Order Lists from the current campaign.  Based on this methodology, the Bulldogs amassed 75.52 points for an improvement of 12.53 to rank 10th in all of NCAA Division III.

Senior Alison Smith (McKinleyville, CA), junior Reyna Ta'amu (Lakewood, CA), and junior Vanessa Blanchard (Palmdale, CA) each rank among the top 15 in their respective events.

After hauling in 16 All-Region awards and qualifying seven for nationals, the Redlands women's track & field team looks forward to competing in Geneva, OH, later this week.
