Senior Alison Smith (McKinleyville, CA) represented the University of Redland track & field program with a strong showing at the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Naperville, IL. Earlier today, she fired off a time of 8.73 to take fourth place in the final of the 60 Hurdles.
By competing in the final, she became an All-American for indoor track & field. She joins her cousin Maddie Smith '15 among the Bulldogs' recipients of this honor.
Yesterday, A. Smith ran a lifetime best of 8.71 to win her heat and qualify for today's final in the 60 Hurdles.
She looks forward to continuing with the outdoor season upon her return to Redlands.
