Craigston “Craig” Robbins arrived at the University of Redlands in the spring of 2021 as the running backs coach for the Bulldog football team.  After coaching in a variety of settings, including most recently at his alma mater Azusa Pacific University, he offers quality experience and insight to this position group.

Robbins spent the 2019 season with the Cougar football team, helping walk-on running back Dante Davis earn second-team all-conference honors during APU’s final season.

In addition, Robbins served as the running backs coach at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga for three seasons.  During that time, he coached four all-conference nominees at the running back position, including Jamal Scott, Artis Seymore, and two-time nominee Derrione Leeper, who was named the most valuable player of the 2018 Western State Bowl game.  Robbins was also in charge of the program’s video, graphics design, and social media efforts.

Robbins gained coaching experience at East Los Angeles College, Occidental College, and Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School since entering the profession.  During his time with SCIAC-member Oxy, he coached the school’s single-season and career-rushing leader Kwame Do.  Robbins also guided the Cardinals at Cantwell-Sacred Heart to a 2,000-plus-yard rushing season in 2013.

As an undergraduate, he attended El Camino College and earned an Associate of Arts before spending one year at New Mexico State University.  He later enrolled at Azusa Pacific and enjoyed two seasons as a running back, making an appearance in the NAIA playoffs in 2005.  He graduated with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Media Studies.

Following graduation, he spent several years working in sales and marketing for the Los Angeles Dodgers and UCLA.

Robbins lives in San Bernardino with his wife Krystle and their three daughters Chloe, Catniss, and Casey.
