Redlands Cross-Country named USTFCCCA All-Academic | Bolock and Verschoor selected as Academic Scholar-Athletes

USTFCCCA Cross-Country Academic Awards

REDLANDS, Calif. – It was announced Thursday that the University of Redlands Men's and Women's Cross Country teams earned All-Academic recognition from the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for each team's combined cumulative GPA.

Along with the team accolades, both Enrique Verschoor (Mar del Plata, Argentina) and Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) were also recognized for the first time in their careers as USTFCCCA Academic All-Scholars.  Verschoor, a Biochemistry major was among 320 student-athletes from 119 different institutions who were honored for their efforts during the 2022 season.  Bullock, an HMS (Health, Medicine, and Society) major joined 383 student-athletes from 137 different institutions who were also recognized for their efforts during the 2022 season. 

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the Top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

Both teams earned distinction as All-Academic, meeting the minimum GPA requirement of a 3.10.  The U of R women's team boasted a 3.76 cumulative GPA, while the men came in at a 3.47.  Within the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference a total of six schools were recognized on both sides.
