Chloe Bullock, Enrique Verschoor and Ronan Byrne named All-West Region

SPOKANE, Wash. – The University of Redlands Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed in the NCAA Division III West Regionals in Spokane, WA Saturday with the men placing ninth and the women eleventh.

A trio of Bulldogs earned All-West Region honors including Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR), Enrique Verschoor (Mar del Plata, Argentina), and Ronan Byrne (Portola Valley, CA).

The women's team combined to have an average time of 23:46 led by Bullock who qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships after placing ninth overall with a time of 22:02.0 in the 6K.  Her average mile time was a 5:54.6 and with her finishing mark has a new personal best and the sixth fastest 6K time in program history.       

Another notable finish on the women's side was first-year Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) who came in 59th with a 23:34.6. That is a :16.2 second improvement from her Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships time two weeks ago.

On the men's side they posted a team average time of 26:06 getting led by Verschoor who continued his strong final season as a Bulldog with a 24th-place finish following a time of 25:10.7, which included an average mile time of 5:03.9.

Ronan Byrne (Portola Valley, CA) finished inside the Top-30 with a new personal best time of 25:19.8. His time is now the seventh fastest in program history.

The Bulldogs will now send Bullock to Lansing, Michigan next Saturday, November 19 as she will compete in her first NCAA Division III National Championship.
