Nine Bulldog Women's Water Polo Players Earn ACWPC All-Academic Honors

It was recently announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) that nine student-athletes from the University of Redlands women's water polo program landed on the All-Academic Team based on success in the classroom.

The All-Academic Awards list for individuals span over three categories of scholarly success based on GPA, including outstanding (4.0-3.71), superior (3.70-3.41), and excellent (3.40-3.20).

The majority of Redlands' honorees received the "outstanding" selection, with sophomore goalkeeper Allison Totzke (San Bernardino, CA), sophomore attack Wendy McAleer (Simi Valley, CA), and sophomore attack Sami Walker (Taylorsville, UT). This marks the second consecutive "outstanding" honor for all three student-athletes. Freshman attack Courtney Gray (Yucaipa, CA) impressed in her first year also representing the team among the "outstanding" recipients.

Sophomore center Kolby Kahahawai (Kailua, HI) etched her name into the "superior" category for the second year in a row, while junior Alana Flaherty (Hilo, HI) bumped up to the "superior" category after last year's "excellent" nod.

Three student-athletes round out the "excellent" selection, with junior attack Michelle Na (Mercer Island, WA), sophomore goalkeeper Katelyn Jenkins (Bellevue, WA) and sophomore goalkeeper Kelly Grosswendt (Newbury Park, CA). This is Na's and Jenkin's second-consecutive "excellent" accolade, while Grosswendt collected her first All-Academic award.
