It was announced earlier today that sophomore goalkeeper Katelyn Jenkins (Bellevue, WA) of the University of Redlands was honored as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Water Polo Athlete of the Week for her contributions in the team's big win on Saturday.

Jenkins played an instrumental role in the Bulldogs' 9-8 overtime victory against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges during Senior Day.  She racked up 17 saves between the posts in an amazing complete-game effort.  Without her saves, this game could have easily gone the other way.

Earlier in the week, she supplied three stops against Whittier College during the final two periods.

Redlands (8-19, 3-3 SCIAC) heads to the University of La Verne on Wednesday, April 12, for a 4 p.m. game against the Leopards.
