Eleven Bulldog Women's Water Polo Players Selected to ACWPC All-Academic Team for Scholarly Success

It was announced on Tuesday by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) that 11 student-athletes from the University of Redlands women's water polo program landed on the All-Academic Team based on success in the classroom.  Among the three levels of academic achievement, more than 500 women were selected to this year's elite list.  Four Bulldogs garnered "Outstanding" honors for owning a GPA of 3.71 and above, while three collected "Superior" awards for GPAs between 3.41 and 3.7.  Finally, four Redlands players received "Excellent" recognition as a result of their GPAs between 3.2 and 3.4.

Leading the charge, senior utility player Caitlyn Freeman (Brentwood, CA) collects her third "Outstanding" honor to conclude her four-year career with the Maroon and Gray.

The freshman trio of goalkeeper Allison Totzke (San Bernardino, CA), and attack players Wendy McAleer (Simi Valley, CA) and Sami Walker (Taylorsville, UT) also represents the team among the "Outstanding" recipients.

Senior defender Maurisa Major (Sacramento, CA) repeats as a "Superior" honoree after receiving the same award in 2014, while freshman utility player Kolby Kahahawai (Kailua, HI) and freshman attack player Sabrina Scoggin (Ashland, OR) impressed in their first year at Redlands by earning the same distinction.

Finally, sophomore attack players Alana Flaherty (Hilo, HI), Michelle Na (Mercer Island, WA), and Rachel Haney (Redmond, OR) collect "Excellent" recognition for the first time in their young careers.  Furthermore, freshman goalkeeper Katelyn Jenkins (Bellevue, WA) joins them among the prestigious list.
