REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands women's volleyball team ended their 2022 home schedule with a sweep of West Coast Baptist in a non-conference game inside Currier Gym.

In the opening set the Bulldogs won the first three points and eight of the first nine. Avery Aminoff (Alexandria, VA) had three kills in the opening nine points. The Bulldogs continued to attack as they lead grew to 15, 19-4, thanks to a pair of service aces from Lyric Waterman (Aurora, CO) and kills from Katie Allbery (Spokane, WA), Bailey Hoblitzell (Elk Grove, CA), and Aminoff.

Redlands won the final six points with points coming from Paige Sugg (Federal Way, WA), Kiana Stradford (Mission Viejo, CA), and the other four off mistakes by the Eagles.

Just like the first set, in the second the Bulldogs were in control from the start, winning 14 of the first 17 points. Hoblitzell, Shelby Dawson (Fontana, CA), Neka Swanberg (Damonte Ranch, NV), and Kylie Martin (Centennial, CO) all posted two kills during the run.

The Eagles stemmed the tide, slightly, winning three of four points, but the Bulldogs stayed sharp and took seven of the final eight.

After great starts in the first two sets, the Bulldogs were not sharp to in the third, losing the first three points and trailing 4-1. Redlands would not take the lead until it was 8-7.

The Bulldogs led until the Eagles tied the set at 18, Redlands then woke up and won the last seven points with Dawson posting a kill and assist and Sugg getting a pair of kills.

Redlands spread the wealth with 13 players seeing the court and nine different players recording a kill. Ella Goettsche (Eastvale, CA) had 10 assists, two aces, and three digs. Delani Nevarez (Highland, CA) tied for a game-high with eight digs and had a pair of assists and aces.
