Bulldog Women's Volleyball Collects AVCA Team Academic Award for Seventh Year in a Row

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honored the University of Redlands women's volleyball team as one of 1,275 collegiate and high school teams to receive the U.S. Marine Corps/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 season.

Initiated in 1992-93, the award strives to recognize those teams that maintain a consistent grade-point average (GPA) of 3.30 or higher.

Under the direction of Head Coach Lisa Lindberg, the Bulldogs have gained this honor every year of her career, which began in 2015.  Overall, the program has seven consecutive such awards for a total of 10 in its history.

This year, Redlands' 13 members of the team combined efforts for a 3.50 GPA.

The Bulldogs join Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) members, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, Cal Lutheran University, and the University of La Verne among the elite group of NCAA Division III selections.
