The University of Redlands women's volleyball team eagerly awaits the addition of three quality student-athletes who will join 15 returning Bulldogs for preseason on Friday, August 17.  Under the direction of fourth-year Head Coach Lisa Lindberg, the Maroon and Gray anticipates taking another step in the right direction for a return to the upper echelon of the always formidable Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).

"We are very excited about welcoming another talented class into our program.  This class of offensive threats will have an immediate impact on the team.  They are young women of incredible character who will work hard in the classroom and on the court," stated Lindberg.

Redlands welcomes Paige Davidson from Spanaway, Washington, where she competed for Bethel High School.  This outside hitter/defensive specialist brings a well-rounded academic and athletic profile that complements her determined and hard-working mentality.

In addition, Natalie Starlin strives to bolster the Bulldogs' firepower as an outside hitter from Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She brings a dynamic combination of having a free spirit with a focused and hard-working attitude.

Finally, the squad adds setter Tatiana Luevano from San Pablo, California.  This Miramonte High School graduate enters the program as a confident, mature leader who is capable and comfortable running an offense.

This trio strengthens the returning roster of six sophomores and nine upperclasswomen.

The Bulldog women's volleyball team also looks forward to the new contributions of Assistant Coach Kierra Jones, who joined the program in early July.

Redlands begins the 2018 campaign on Friday, August 31, with the Pacific Coast Classic, hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.  The Bulldogs' first match is slated against Mount Aloysius College (PA) at 11 a.m. on the 31st.
