Bulldog Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award for Scholarly Success

It was announced earlier today by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) that the University of Redlands volleyball program received the AVCA Team Academic Award for scholarly success during the 2014-15 school year.  The Bulldogs are among the 752 honorees that reset the AVCA's previous record of collegiate and high school volleyball teams to display excellence in the classroom during the school year with a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.

Furthermore, Redlands joins 139 other NCAA Division III women's programs to be selected.

Academically, the Maroon and Gray had six student-athletes make the Dean's List during the spring semester, while four individuals completed the term with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The Bulldogs look forward to the upcoming campaign as the start of a new era under the direction of first-year Head Coach Lisa Lindberg.  Redlands opens the season on September 4 when it travels to UC Santa Cruz for a four-match tournament.  The Maroon and Gray competes at home for the first time this season when it hosts West Coast Baptist College on September 10 at 7:30 p.m.
