Bulldog Volleyball Falls to Chapman University

The University of Redlands volleyball faced regional rival Chapman University in Orange on Tuesday night, suffering a three-set sweep to the Panthers. The Bulldogs led early at 2-1 in the opening set but struggled to recover from streaky play and multi-point deficits, resulting in the 18-25, 11-25, 15-25 loss.

The Bulldogs endured an inconsistent offense, with some players hitting .400 or better but others landing in the negative numbers. Junior right side Alexa Herlosky (Henderson, NV) registered the team's strongest performance with a .600 hitting percentage, coming off of four kills on five attempts.

Sophomore setter Alisha Cornick (Hollister, CA) dished out a team-high nine assists while contributing a .429 attack.

Redlands (0-6) strives to halt its skid when it competes at home for the first time this season on Tuesday, September 20, at 7:30 p.m. The team takes on Whittier College to kick off Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition.
