CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Tennis team was knocked out of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament Friday afternoon, falling 5-0 to Pomona-Pitzer.

The Bulldogs had momentum going into the tournament with three straight wins under their belts, but they couldn't get anything going against the loaded Sagehen lineup.  Redlands moves to 9-6, 4-3 SCIAC and now hope for an At-Large Bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships, which they earned a year ago being one of three teams to qualify from SCIAC.

Redlands drops their second match-up with Pomona-Pitzer on the season.  The previous time UR fell 7-2, grabbing both wins in singles.  This time around PP swept doubles and then grabbed wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles to end the match via decision.

In doubles the No. 1 team of Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, CA) and Olivia Rockwood (Park City, UT) competed hard ultimately falling in a breaker 8-7.  The other two lines included Christine O'Brien (Leawood, KS) and Kiana Brady (Hermosa Beach, CA) getting edged at No. 2 8-5 and Mia Goldstein (Ann Arbor, MI) and Madison Sherwood (Las Vegas, NV) picking up a game at No. 3 dropping 8-1.

Moving into singles PP clinched quickly with O'Brien falling at No. 5 6-2, 6-2 and Sherwood grabbing a game in a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 6.

Other matches on when it was called included Bolock at No. 1 who was down a set and on serve 6-2, 2-3.  Brady was also down a set, but on serve at No. 2 6-3, 3-4.  Rockwood was down a set and a break 6-1, 3-2 and Goldstein was down a set, but on serve in the second, 6-1, 2-1.
