REDLANDS, Calif. – University of Redlands Head Women's Tennis Coach Pete Yellico announced his 2023 Schedule Monday, which includes 17 dual matches, 15 of which are taking place inside the newly constructed Verdieck Tennis Center.  The other two matches will occur on the road within Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play against Whittier College and Pomona-Pitzer.

The Bulldogs jumpstart their 2023 Spring Campaign with a pair of exhibition matches against Westmont (February 10 @ 3:00pm) and Point Loma Nazarene (February 18 @ 11:00am).  Their first official match will be Thursday, February 23 when they host No. 40 Brandeis University under the lights beginning at 5:00pm.

Redlands will face thirteen teams ranked inside the Top 40 within the Preseason ITA Division III National Rankings, two within the Top-10, five ranging from No. 10-No. 20 and another six between No. 20-No. 40.  These teams include:

Last year in 2022 the Maroon and Grey finished 11-8, 5-2 SCIAC and completed the year ranked No. 15 in the country following a Round of 32 appearance at the NCAA Division III National Championships.  There they upset then No. 14 Trinity (TX) 5-4.

Redlands returns two All-SCIAC members in Olivia Rockwood (Park City, Utah) and Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, Calif.) who were named 1st Team and 2nd Team, respectively.

During the fall portion of their schedule the Bulldogs competed at the ITA Division III West Regional Championships.  In singles competition sophomore Kiana Brady (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) and first-year Mia Goldstein (Ann Arbor, Michigan) each won their first-round matches and advanced to the Round of 16.

In doubles the No. 6 seed of Bolock and Goldstein won their Round of 32 match 8-1 and their Round of 16 match 8-0 before exiting in the Quarterfinals.  Sophomores Brady and Christine O'Brien (Leawood, Kan.) also impressed finishing as Finalists in consolation draw.
