Six Bulldog Women's Tennis Players Ready for ITA Division III West Regional

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Tennis team is gearing up for the ITA Division III West Regional set to take place this weekend, Friday-Sunday, September 30-October 2.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer are hosting with three flights of singles and a main draw for doubles.

The Bulldogs have six players competing between Flights A & B for singles, which includes four returners and two newcomers.  These six will also team up to play doubles. 

Senior Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, CA), sophomore Kiana Brady (Hermosa Beach, CA) and freshman Mia Goldstein (Ann Arbor, MI) will be competing in Flight A.  Bolock will go against Claremont-M-S' Gabby Lee at 1:30pm, Brady against SCIAC newcomer Ana Szczuka at 2:00pm and Goldstein matching up with Pomona-Pitzers' Alexandra Coleman at 1:30pm.

In Flight B sophomore Christine O'Brien (Leawood, KS), junior Madison Sherwood (Las Vegas, NV), and freshman Karly Rojas (Poulsbo, WA) will be competing.  O'Brien will go up against the No. 2 seed Patria Aziz from Pomona-Pitzer at 1:30pm, Sherwood will faceoff against the No. 6 seed Natalie Sprenger of UC Santa Cruz at 1:30pm, and Rojas will take on Kayla Kling from California Lutheran University at 3:00pm.          

To begin Friday competition doubles will take place with O'Brien and Brady teaming up to take on the No. 7 seed Ella Brissett and Audrey Yoon of Claremont-M-S, Rojas and Sherwood will be together going up against Yoyo Benchetrit and Nina Solovyeva of Caltech, and Bolock and Goldstein who come in as the No. 6 seed will compete against SCIAC newcomers Keeley Arendt and Malvika Suryavanshi from Whittier.  All three matches to be played at 8:30am.
