It was recently announced that the University of Redlands women's tennis program earned recognition as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team while also producing three ITA Scholar-Athletes for 2020-21.
The Bulldogs' small-but-mighty team of four participated in a modified spring season while earning a collective grade-point average (GPA) of 3.69 to surpass the minimum required mark of 3.2 and gain this academic distinction for the ninth year in a row.
In addition, junior Halle Martinucci (Burlingame, CA) collects her third consecutive ITA Scholar-Athlete award, while sophomore Kendall Bolock (Yucaipa, CA) becomes a two-time recipient. In addition, first-year Madison Sherwood (Las Vegas, NV) receives this honor after excelling in the classroom during her inaugural year as a Bulldog.
To qualify as ITA Scholar-Athletes, these individuals must have completed a minimum of two semesters at Redlands while recording a GPA of 3.50 or higher as a member of the tennis team during the 2020-21 academic year.
