Redlands Women’s Tennis Holds National Ranking of 35th to Start the Spring Season

The University of Redlands women's tennis team embarks upon the spring season with a national ranking of No. 35, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in today's top-40 list for NCAA Division III.

As per his usual practice, Head Coach Geoff Roche has developed a challenging slate of opponents that includes 13 nationally-ranked teams, with seven among the top 20 in the country.

With the return of a talented crew of competitors, the Bulldogs hold high hopes for an exciting 2018 campaign. Redlands welcomes back sophomore Sarah Ikioka (Wailuku, HI) and junior Elizabeth Johnson (Portland, OR), who advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Individual Doubles Championships to earn All-America honors in 2017.  The team also looks to the competitive experience of juniors Kate Dolan (St. Louis, MO) and Madison Ross (San Diego, CA), and sophomore Jackie Lacy (Palm Desert, CA) to set the tone for the Maroon and Gray.

After hosting their alumnae match on January 27, the Bulldogs face Arizona Christian University and Azusa Pacific University on Verdieck Courts in a pair of exhibition competitions on February 3.
