Kate Dolan Tabbed SCIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week

It was announced earlier today that sophomore Kate Dolan (St. Louis, MO) of the University of Redlands was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her contributions in the Bulldogs' strong finish to the dual-match portion of the regular season.

During Friday's match at Occidental College, she and junior Claire Bohoskey (Yakima, WA) prevailed at the No. 3 doubles spot by a score of 8-5, before Dolan cruised by her No. 5 opponent in singles, 6-2, 6-1.  The Bulldogs defeated the Tigers in a 9-0 sweep.

Against a feisty Caltech squad, Dolan and Bohoskey eked out an important 9-7 win to keep Redlands ahead through the doubles on Saturday. Dolan ultimately clinched the Maroon and Gray's win with her 6-2, 6-0 effort at the No. 5 singles slot.

With the successful week, Redlands (8-10) improved to 5-2 in the conference and looks forward to hosting the SCIAC Championship Tournament on May 5-7 on Verdieck Courts.
