Eva Vlassopoulos inks deal to play Professionally in Greece

REDLANDS, Calif. – Former University of Redlands Women's Soccer Midfielder Eva Vlassopoulos (Portland, OR) inked a deal this week to play professionally for PAOK FC in Thessaloniki, Greece.  She is the first Bulldog in program history to sign a professional contract.

Vlassopoulos put together an outstanding career at the University of Redlands, which included a breakout senior season where she was named 1st Team All-SCIAC, and 2nd Team All-West Region (United Soccer Coaches).  This past season she posted eight goals and added an assist. Of her eight tallies two of them were game winners, coming against Whittier College and Caltech.  She also recorded double digit goals twice both times against Caltech with the last meeting seeing her add the equalizer with :03 seconds left before finding the back of the net for the golden goal in overtime.

Vlassopoulos' eight goals ties her for the 10th most All-Time in a single season. She also reached the 20-goal mark in her career which places her 7th All-Time in program history. She also finished with 48 career points, which places her 9th All-Time. 

Over her four years playing for the Maroon and Grey Vlassopoulos has been named All-SCIAC three times (1st Team – 2021, 2018 | 2nd Team – 2019) and All-West Region twice (2nd Team – 2021 | 3rd Team – 2018).  She played in 62 games in her career, starting 48 of them with 20 goals, eight assists, 48 points, a .530 shot-on-goal percentage and six game-winners.
