The University of Redlands women's soccer team headed to Thousand Oaks on Friday evening for a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) matchup. Despite keeping the score close through 77 minutes of action, the Regals notched three quick goals, handing the Bulldogs a tough 0-4 loss.

Redlands opened the match with great defense as two of CLU's shots were blocked while senior goalkeeper Brittany Dinkins (Renton, WA) saved the third attempt.

Although the Regals notched a score in the 10th minute, Redlands continued to press and create opportunities for themselves. Junior midfielder Eva Vlassopoulos (Portland, OR), senior forward Gabby Hart (Burien, WA), and senior forward Skyla Wilson (Palm Desert, CA) each had nice looks on goal but to no avail to send the Bulldogs into halftime down by just one score.

In the second, junior forward Emily Falla (Woodinville, WA) nearly knotted the score but the CLU goalkeeper was there to make the save.

By the 84th minute, the Regals had added three scores to take a 4-0 lead and put this one out of reach for Redlands.

Redlands (5-7-3, 2-5-3 SCIAC) looks to bounce back when they travel to La Verne on Wednesday, October 30. The Bulldogs and Leopards kick off at 7 p.m.
