ORANGE, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team (3-9, 1-7 SCIAC) was competitive in the second half at Chapman University Saturday afternoon, but their 13-1 first half deficit was too much to overcome as they fell 19-5.

After not finding the back of the net for nearly 20 minutes to begin the game, Emily Webster (Ladera Ranch, CA) pulled one back for the Bulldogs at the 10:15 mark of the second quarter as she took advantage of a free position attempt. Going into the half the Panthers held a 13-1 lead.

The Bulldogs conceded the first two goals of the third, but Webster was able to get a brace as Cailin Walker (Portland, OR) picked up the assist with 8:47 still to play in the period.

In the fourth, Redlands held Chapman scoreless for the first seven minutes and outscored them 2-1 over the first ten. With :15 seconds left in the game Webster scored her third of the quarter and fifth of the game as she helped the Bulldogs win the fourth quarter, 3-2. In the quarter Jacqueline Landucci (San Mateo, CA), Walker, and Catie Ramicone (Countryside, IL) all had assists.

All five of the Bulldog connections and their four assists came from first year players. Fellow first-year Alyssa Ashley (Vista, CA) got the start in goal and made eight saves.

Redlands will return home to Farquhar Field this Wednesday, April 12 when they host Occidental College beginning at 7:00pm.
