CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team opened up Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play Saturday morning in a 26-2 loss to No. 22 Pomona-Pitzer.

The Bulldogs were coming off a solid 28-0 win over Eastern Oregon University, but could not carry the momentum into the weekend as they move to 1-1.

After allowing the first six goals to the Sagehens, Emily Webster (Ladera Ranch, CA) scored an unassisted goal at the 8:03 mark of the first quarter.

Then at the 13:39 mark of the second period, Webster scored her second of the game coming on a free position opportunity to make it a 9-2 deficit. The Bulldogs, though, were unable to find the back of the net the rest of the game as they dropped their first game of the season.

Webster added a pair of ground balls to her two goals and Nicole Hutten (Hinsdale, IL) made 15 saves, one off her career-high of 16, which was at Chapman (Apr. 17, 2021).

Redlands returns to the field with another SCIAC match-up against Chapman University, this time at home at Farquhar Field on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m.
