Kendall Nicholson named SCIAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Golfers of the Week in the fifth week of voting and University of Redlands senior Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) was selected as the SCIAC Women's Golfer of the Week for the first time this season and the second time in her career.

Redlands has now collected the SCIAC Women's Golfer of the week honors for the third straight week as Nicholson joins Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) who won it the previous two weeks.         

Kendall led the University of Redlands Women's Golf team to their third straight victory and the sixth title on the season as the Bulldogs beat out Pomona-Pitzer by three strokes to win the UC Santa Cruz Invitational.  Nicholson finished in a tie for 2nd with a 73-76 (149).  She was 3rd in Par 5 Scoring at a 4.88 (-1), 5th in Par 4 Scoring at a 4.20 (+4) and 4th in Par 3 Scoring at a 3.25 (+2).  She totaled 26 Pars, 1 Birdie and 1 Eagle.

Redlands now prepares for the SCIAC Championships set to be played April 23-25 in Ventura, CA at Olivas Links Golf Club.
