The No. 6 University of Redlands women's golf team displayed its mix of veteran and rookie talent with a first-place showing at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) No. 1 Tournament at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura on Saturday and Sunday. The Bulldogs set the tone on day one with a record-breaking team score of 284 and then shot a 295 on day two to finish with an overall score of 579 and a 60-stroke lead over second place. The SCIAC allows teams to play six and score four, giving Redlands a 284, while Golfstat requires teams to play five and score four for the Bulldogs' 287 on the results.

After the opening 18 holes, sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) led the tournament with a second-best in school history round of 67. Another solid score of 74 on day two landed Jugar atop the leaderboard with a winning score of 141. She also recorded a tournament-leading eight birdies over the two days.

Junior Malia Kiger (Hermosa Beach, CA) and first-year Gabrielle Kiger (Hermosa Beach, CA) followed close behind in second and third place, respectively, turning in consistent scores on both days. M. Kiger shot a pair of 71s for a 142 total and G. Kiger supplied a pair of 73s for a 146 tally.

The rest of the Bulldogs finished in fourth, fifth, and sixth place, all within 10 or fewer strokes. Senior Annie Hay (University Place, WA) shot a low 73 on day one followed by a 77 on the second day for a 150 total. Junior Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) and senior Mariah Moon (La Quinta, CA) registered scores of 154 (74-80) and 156 (78-78), respectively.
