U of R Women's Golf Slated No. 11 in NCAA Division III to Begin 2019-20 Season

The University of Redlands women's golf team tees off the 2019-20 campaign with a national ranking of No. 11, as indicated by the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Preseason Poll on Friday.

Under fifth-year Head Coach Jack Stewart, the Bulldogs strive to build upon last season's success, which culminated in being tabbed the No. 9 team in the final rankings. The talented squad also battled to a 10th-place showing at the NCAA Division III Championships in the program's first postseason appearance since 2015-16.

The Maroon and Gray returns sophomore Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA), who not only was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the Year but also the Newcomer of the Year. Redlands also welcomes back junior Annie Hay (University Place, WA) as a WGCA All-American. Overall, the duo produced an average score of 77.42 over 25 rounds.

The Bulldogs begin the fall portion of their schedule on Monday, September 16, at the CA State Intercollegiate at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura, California.
