SCIAC Honors Three-Time Athlete of the Year Caroline Ordian and First-Teamer Kari Gordon of Redlands Women's Golf

It was recently announced that a talented tandem from the University of Redlands women's golf team received All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) honors, as voted upon by the head coaches of the member institutions.  Junior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) was tabbed the SCIAC Athlete of the Year for the third-consecutive time, while senior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) joined her on the First Team.

Ordian makes it a three-peat as the SCIAC Women's Athlete of the Year in an unprecedented showing.  This season, she posted a scoring average of 76.00 in seven conference rounds, with her season-low of 70 coming in the final 18 holes of the SCIAC Championship Tournament.  In addition, this three-time First-Teamer recorded the only eagle in that tournament.  Earlier this season, she captured the medalist honor at the SCIAC Tournament No. 2 by a six-stroke lead with a 36-hole total of 145.

Gordon collects her inaugural First-Team award after twice landing on the Second Team.  During her final campaign, she registered a conference scoring average of 80.57, with her lowest round of 75 coming at the SCIAC Tournament No. 2.

Both Bulldogs played an instrumental role in the team's second-place finish at the SCIAC Championship Tournament, as highlighted by their respective top-10 showings.  Ordian took second at the event (74-80-70), while Gordon tied for ninth (82-79-79).
