Four Bulldogs Tabbed WGCA All-America Scholars for Academic and Athletic Excellence

It was announced earlier today by the Women's Golf Coaches Association that four members of the University of Redlands women's golf team were selected as All-America Scholars for the 2015-16 academic year.  Senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA), juniors Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) and Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA), and sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) all exceeded the minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and competed in at least 12 rounds during the current season to repeat as honorees of this prestigious award.

This Bulldog quartet joins more than 800 women from all levels of collegiate golf to receive this honor.

Dorsey becomes a three-time WGCA All-America Scholar after an illustrious four-year career with the Maroon and Gray. This Business Administration major recently completed her degree as a Redlands Scholar-Athlete and WGCA All-American.

The Gordon sisters also receive this accolade for the third time in their respective careers.  They are both pursuing degrees in Accounting and boast extremely similar GPAs.

Finally, Ordian repeats as a WGCA All-America Scholar as well.  During her NCAA Division III Player of the Year season, she also excelled in the classroom as Business Administration major.

Redlands is one of three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) represented among the recipients.  For a complete list of the honorees, please visit the WGCA website.
