Redlands Women's Golfer Caroline Ordian Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-American®

Redlands Women's Golfer Caroline Ordian Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-American®

It was announced earlier today that sophomore golfer Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) of the University of Redlands women's golf program landed among the elite list of student-athletes as a member of the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Academic All-America® At-Large Teams.  She is one of 45 female student-athletes to be selected overall and one of 14 to earn her distinction as a member of the Third Team.

Clearly, Ordian excels in the classroom in order to receive this scholarly award.  This Business Administration major owns Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholar recognition and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) All-Academic honors as well.

This two-time Redlands Scholar-Athlete impresses on the golf course as well, winning the 2016 NCAA Division III Individual National Championship last month.  Furthermore, she led the Bulldogs to a sixth-place finish at nationals in only their second appearance.

After being named the 2016 WGCA Division III National Player of the Year, she was tabbed the women's golf nominee for the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) Class of 2016 Division III Honda Athlete of the Year, which will be announced in late June.

Her accolades don't stop there, as she is a two-time SCIAC Athlete of the Year, SCIAC Newcomer of the Year, and WGCA Freshman of the Year.  She is Redlands' first WGCA All-American and became a repeat recipient of this award as a sophomore.
