After shooting a 75 on Thursday, sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) climbed to the top of the player leaderboard with a 54-hole score of 218 with one round remaining.  She led the No. 7 University of Redlands women's golf team to a third-round score of 315 for a team total of 938, which dropped the Bulldogs one spot in the standings to sixth place on day three of the tournament.  However, they remain within striking distance of fifth-place Williams College (MA), which owns a score of 933 (317-309-307).

During today's round as the newly named 2016 NCAA Division III Player of the Year, Ordian recorded three birdies and nine pars en route to her three-over score.  She currently holds a one-stroke lead over Wittenberg University's Macy Hubbard (69-71-79) and a four-stroke advantage against Mackenzie Cohen (75-78-69) of Rhodes College (TN).

For the Bulldogs, senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) fired off a solid round of 77 to move up four slots on the leaderboard with a 54-hole tally of 237 to tie for 35th. She scored eight pars, with five of them coming on the front nine, to go along with three birdies.

Junior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) is among the tie at 35th place after enduring a challenging round that resulted in an 82.   Junior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) signed her day-three scorecard with an 81 that included back-to-back birdies on the back nine.  Junior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) completed the Bulldogs' scoresheet with her 83 on Thursday.

Redlands looks to make its final push on Friday, May 13, when it tees off at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas, for the final time, beginning 10:15 a.m. PT.
