Bulldog Golfers Caroline Ordian and Amberlynn Dorsey Haul in Significant Postseason Honors from WGCA

It was announced late last night at the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Awards Banquet in Houston, Texas, that sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) and senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) received distinct honors for their outstanding contributions to the No. 7 University of Redlands women's golf team's success.  Headlining the Bulldogs' hardware, Ordian was tabbed the 2016 PING WGCA Division III Player of the Year in her second season at Redlands.  She also collected back-to-back WGCA All-America First-Team nods, while Dorsey earned her inaugural All-America honor with a spot on the Second Team.  Finally, the dynamic duo represented Bulldog women's golf on the WGCA All-West Region First Team.

As NCAA Division III's top golfer on GolfStat throughout the season, Ordian owns an adjusted scoring average of 74.61 with a compare record of 651-1.  She continues to rake in the honors, adding to her recent accolade of back-to-back Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the Year.  Among her four medalist showings this season, she won the SCIAC Championship Tournament in come-from-behind fashion, moving up from her third-place spot on day one to the top of the leaderboard in the final few holes. 

Her best round of 64 came in the first 18 holes of the fall season en route to winning the Western New Mexico Invitational with a two-round score of 136, which reset the school record for 36 holes.

Aside from consecutive All-America nods, Ordian repeats as an All-West Region First-Teamer.

Dorsey has put together the best season of her four-year career, earning an adjusted scoring average of 78.38 to rank ninth in NCAA Division III, according to GolfStat.  Her lowest round of 70 also came at the WNMU Invite back in September.  Since then she has posted three top-two finishes, as highlighted by her co-medalist honors at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational following back-to-back rounds of 71. 

After recently earning All-SCIAC First-Team accolades, she repeats as a First-Team All-Region selection with this year's honor.

Ordian, Dorsey, and the Redlands women's golf team recently teed off in the third round of the NCAA Division III Championships in Houston, Texas, later this morning.  The Bulldogs began the day in fifth place.
