The No. 7 University of Redlands women's golf team hit the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas, for the second day of competition at the NCAA Championships on Wednesday, climbing two spots in the team standings to fifth place with a score of 623. Despite a two-hour lightning delay early in the round, the Bulldogs shaved off 13 strokes from yesterday's total to enter the clubhouse with a team score of 305.

Redlands sits 13 strokes behind Rhodes College (TN), which climbed three spots into first place with a stunning round of 298 today. Wittenberg University and the University of Texas at Tyler complete the top three, while regional-rival George Fox University sits fourth.

Sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) helmed the Bulldogs by shooting a two-under 70 that included four birdies and 12 pars. With Redlands teeing off on the 10th hole, Ordian began the second day by notching three birdies through the opening seven holes. In the individual standings, Ordian currently sits second overall with a total stroke count of 143 (73-70). With her excellent score, she was one of two players who broke the record for the two-round low individual total in an NCAA Women's Golf Championship.

Senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) finished the day at four-over par with a 76. Through the opening nine holes, Dorsey eventually worked her way to one-under by shooting three birdies. She shot four total birdies and six pars on the day.  She moved up 15 spots on the individual leaderboard to tie for 35th with 36 holes remaining.

Junior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) produced a solid day-two result of 77, which was good for five-over par. After totaling three birdies and seven pars, she moved up two slots in the individual standings to 18th.

Junior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) and junior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) marked mirroring scores of 82 on the day.

The Bulldogs look forward to day three of the NCAA Championships on Thursday, May 12, at the Bay Oaks Country Club. Redlands tees off on the first hole, beginning at 10:15 a.m. PT.
