No. 2 Bulldog Women’s Golf Finishes Second at Opening SCIAC Tournament

The No. 2-ranked University of Redlands women's golf team teed off at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 1 on Saturday and Sunday at Tukwet Canyon Golf Course in Beaumont.  With a trio of top-six finishers leading the way, the Bulldogs placed second in the team standings with a combined score of 630, which was six strokes off the leaders from Whittier College.

Sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) fired off rounds of 78 and 73 to finish second among the individuals.  She led the field with 25 pars over the weekend, to go along with a pair of birdies. 

Junior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) tallied a 36-hole total of 156 with consistent rounds of 78 and 80 to place fourth overall.  She notched five birdies and 18 pars in a solid showing.  

Senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) entered the club house with a score of 158 to tie for sixth after shaving off six strokes for a day-two tally of 76.  She knocked in six birdies and 15 pars while posting an average of 2.88 on the par threes.

Senior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) completed the tournament with a score of 170 (83-87), while junior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) registered a 174 (88-86) to finish among the top 30.  Junior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) completed Redlands' line-up, providing an integral round of 82 on Sunday to impact the team's final score.   

Pautsch and Durette tallied 15 and 16 pars, respectively. 

Redlands heads to the University of Missouri - St. Louis Golf Classic in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 28, and Monday, February 29, at the Paiute Golf Course.
