Bulldog Women’s Golf Paces the SCIAC with Six among the All-Academic Team

Six talented competitors from the University of Redlands women's golf teams earn Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) All-Academic recognition, as announced on Wednesday.  Seniors Samantha Conway (Ripon, CA) and Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR), junior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA), and sophomores Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA), Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) and Natalie Stubb (Seattle, WA) represent the Bulldogs with this scholarly award.

Among the seven conference schools with women's golfers on the all-academic list, Redlands boasts the most with six honorees.

After completing their respective degrees in Business Administration and Political Science earlier this spring, Conway and Meade earn their third and final all-academic awards from the SCIAC.

Following a stellar season on the course, Dorsey continues to impress in the classroom by repeating as a SCIAC All-Academic honoree.  Dorsey is one year away from completing her degree in Business Administration.

K. Gordon, R. Gordon, and Stubb all receive their first such honor in their first year of eligibility for the award.

These student-athletes all made contributions to the Bulldogs' historic season, which included the program's first-ever SCIAC Championship and NCAA appearance.

To receive the SCIAC's All-Academic honor, student-athletes must own a 3.40 cumulative GPA or higher, must have completed at least one calendar year at her institution, and must have reached a minimum of sophomore eligibility.  For a complete list of this year's recipients, please visit www.thesciac.org.
