No. 10 Redlands Women's Golf Shatters School Records during Tied-for-Second-Place Showing at GFU Westbrook Invitational

The No. 10 University of Redlands women's golf team stepped up to tough competition at the George Fox Westbrook Invitational in Arizona over the weekend, tying for second place with a two-round total of 591 while finishing ahead of the top-ranked team in the country from the University of Texas – Tyler.  Furthermore, Redlands was even with the third-ranked team from Washington University in St. Louis (MO).

In addition, the Bulldogs showed off their skills by resetting four school records and landing among the top 10 in program history with three additional solid performances.

As a team, Redlands fired off a new school standard for a single round in each outing of the tournament, with Sunday's score of 288 improving upon the previous standard by 19 strokes. The Maroon and Gray also topped the school record for 36 holes (519) for a 35-stroke improvement over the mark that was established September 29, 2013.

Individually, freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) continued to impress with her back-to-back rounds of 69 (138), which reset her own school record for a two-round total while bettering the program's best single-round score as well.  She finished second overall at the tournament by tallying nine birdies and 22 pars on the weekend.

In addition, sophomore Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) tied for sixth in the individual standings after registering a two-round score of 145 (74-71) to rank second all-time in Redlands history for 18 and 36 holes.  Junior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) finished tied-for-14th with a total of 153 (79-74), which places her among the program's best list as well. Junior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) posted a two-round total of 158 (81-77) to tie for 25th, while senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) battled through a tough opening round to shave off 14 strokes in Sunday's 18-hole showing for a two-day total of 162 (88-74).

Finally, sophomore Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) competed as an indvidiual, signing her scorecard at 157 (79-78) after two consistent rounds.

Redlands next heads to Pacific Grove Country Club on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, for the UCSC Spring Invitational.
