2022-23 Women's Basketball All-SCIAC Teams

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the 2022-23 Women's Basketball all-conference teams and the University of Redlands received three selections: Hannah Jerrier (Canton, MA) and Alyssa Downs (South San Francisco, CA) on the 1st Team and Chyanne Pagkalinawan (Valencia, CA) on the 2nd Team. Adding to Jerrier's first team selection is the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Year award, her second consecutive season winning the award.

Jerrier makes an All-SCIAC team for the second-straight season, matching her 1st Team selection a year ago. This season she is averaging 12.6 PPG, a conference-leading 11.9 RPG, 2.46 APG, and another conference-leading 2.4 BPG. She is tied for the 21st-best block average in the country and also has 14 double-doubles, which is the 23rd most, and posts the 17th-best rebounding average.

She has 98 offensive rebounds this season, the fourth most in single-season program history. She also ranks second in defensive rebounds in a season with 212, second in total rebounds with 310, and a new program record 62 blocks, 15 more than the previous record held by Mackenzie Smith (2010-11).

Downs has now made an All-SCIAC team for the fourth time in her career, making the 2nd Team as a first-year and sophomore (2018-19, 2019-20) and then after a COVID season, she was named 1st Team All-SCIAC for the last two seasons.

The Bulldogs' all-time leading scorer is averaging a career-high 16.2 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.6 APG, shooting 43% from three-point territory, and 88.8% from the free-throw line. Her free throw percentage is 10th-best in the country and her three-point percentage ranks her eighth.

In the U of R single season record books she ranks eighth with 409 points, seventh in made threes with 63, and third in free throw percentage at 88.8 percent.

Pagkalinawan adds her resume with her second All-SCIAC selection, following a 2nd Team award last season. She is averaging 10.96 PPG, 3.73 APG, 3.58 RPG, all while shooting 77.6% from the free-throw line.

Her assists rank third in the conference and she is one of only six players averaging three-plus assists and rebounds a game.  She also has an assist/turnover ratio of 1.90, which is second-best in SCIAC.
