SCIAC Women's Basketball Weekly Release No. 8

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week in the eighth week of voting and University of Redlands graduate student Hannah Jerrier (Canton, MA) was selected as the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the third time this season and the ninth time in her career. 

Jerrier led the University of Redlands Women's Basketball team to a 2-0 week, which included wins over Caltech (59-53) and Pomona-Pitzer (79-65).   She again was a force on the defensive end blocking seven shots and grabbing a steal to go with 36 rebounds in both road victories. She also averaged 16.0 points per game on 48.4 percent shooting with five assists and scoring a season-high 24 points against the Sagehens.

Redlands returns to the court Wednesday night, January 11 when they host Chapman University beginning at 7:00pm inside Currier Gym.
