2021-22 Women's Basketball All-SCIAC Teams

REDLANDS, Calif. - The 2021-22 All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) women's basketball teams were announced Tuesday following a vote conducted by the league's member head coaches.

The University of Redlands women's basketball team saw four players recognized with Hannah Jerrier (Canton, MA), Alyssa Downs (South San Francisco, CA), and Angelina Roque (San Diego, CA) landing on the 1st Team and Chyanne Pagkalinawan (Valencia, CA) finding herself on the 2nd Team.  This marks the most All-SCIAC performers selected in a single season since 2012-13 when Marika Staton, Colleen Goeser and Brittany Oster were recognized.

Downs is the lone Bulldog in the group to have been selected to an All-SCIAC team multiple times.  This marks the third year she has been selected, but the first time she has landed on the 1st Team.  In 2018-19 and 2019-20 she was named 2nd Team All-SCIAC.  She was an automatic selection to the 1st Team after she averaged 13.3 PPG, while shooting 47% from the field, 91.3% from the free-throw line and 42.3% from three-point territory within conference.  She totaled 212 points this season with 89 rebounds, 36 assists, 5 steals and six blocks.

In SCIAC she ranked No. 2 in 3PT% (42.3), No. 3 in FT% (91.3), No. 6 in FG% (47%), and No. 10 in Points (212) and Points Per Game (13.3).

Jerrier finds herself on the 1st Team for the first time in her career after putting up record numbers this season.  She was selected as the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Year and was named the SCIAC Athlete of the Week five times this season.  She averaged 12.7 PPG, while shooting 53.6% from the field.  She also added a team high 155 rebounds, 35 assists, 12 steals, and 24 blocks.

In SCIAC she ranked No. 1 in FG% (53.6), Defensive Rebounds (114), Total Rebounds (155), No. 2 in Rebounds Per Game (10.3), No. 3 in Blocks (24), No. 6 in Assists to Turnover Ratio (1.8), and No. 13 in Points (191) and Points Per Game 12.7).

Roque had a breakout season this year leading the offense for the Maroon and Grey as she too finds herself on the 1st Team for the first time in her career.  She averaged 16.6 PPG, while shooting 49.8% from the field.  She totaled 73 rebounds, 41 assists, 17 steals and five blocks.

In SCIAC she ranked No. 2 in FG% (49.8), No. 4 in Field Goals (100) and FT Made (61), No. 5 in Points (266), and No. 7 in Points Per Game (16.6).

Pagkalinawan was a nice addition to the All-SCIAC 2nd Team as a Point Guard.  She earns accolades for the first time in her career after she averaged 11.3 PPG, while shooting 43% from the field, and 34.7% from three-point territory.  She totaled 35 rebounds, a team high 54 assists along with eight steals and a pair of blocks.
