Clark's 19 Points Lead Redlands Women's Basketball to Victory over Marymount

The University of Redlands women's basketball team bounced back from Saturday's loss with a resounding 68-48 victory over host Marymount University (VA) during the consolation game at the Marymount-Marine Corps Tip-Off Tournament on Sunday. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 4-2 lead and never relinquished control of the game, relying on a 44.3% showing from the floor and 16 second-chance points.

The Maroon and Gray garnered a 26-point advantage with just over six minutes to play in the second half.

Senior forward Allison Clark (Altadena, CA) led the Redlands offense with a career-high 19 points, which came off of a 9-for-12 showing, while also tallying five rebounds and one assist. For her contributions during both games, she landed on the All-Tournament team.

Sophomore guard Ashley Sevilla (San Diego, CA) uncorked a 14-point performance with four three-pointers and two made free-throws. She also added three assists and three rebounds.

Junior forward Courtney Carroll (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) rounded out the team's double-digit scorers with 12 points to go along with 12 boards, three steals and two assists.

Besides knocking down 44.3% of their shots, Redlands put on an 88.9% display from the charity stripe.

Redlands (2-1) heads to the Cal Lutheran Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday, taking on Kean University (NJ) at 2 p.m. on Nov. 26.
