The Bulldogs secured second place and had the opportunity to catch CMS thanks to 31 scoring finishes. There were 10 personal best times and marks in the finals, 16 podium finishes, and four individual champions.

Those four individual championships were won by three athletes: Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) in the 800m, indoor All-American Ciara Aw (Shoreline, WA) in the Long Jump and Triple Jump, and Caeli Havel (Pahrump, NV) in the Discus.

Bullock ran a 2:14.42, marking another personal best this spring. She also scored and took eighth in the 5000m, as she added her second personal best time of the championships at 18:36.79, and was third in the 3000m Steeplechase (11:31.34). Her 800m time takes her into seventh all-time and her 5000m is 10th.

Aw added to her fantastic senior season that already includes becoming an NCAA Indoor Track and Field All-American in the Long Jump as she won the Long Jump with a fourth jump of 5.68m/18' 7.75" and the Triple Jump with a final jump of 11.35m/37' 3". The Triple Jump mark is a new personal best and sixth best all-time in program history.

Havel ended her SCIAC career with a bang as she threw 40.24m/132' 0" on her second-to-final throw in the discus as she beat out her teammate for first by 6' 1". Her mark is a personal best and the eighth best in program history.

Among the other scoring athletes, the Bulldogs were led by great performances in many disciplines, including their traditional sprinting where Sydney Harness (Henderson, NV) and Alexandra Ackerman (Lake Elsinore, CA) were the top scorers. Harness got six points and third-place finishes in the 100m and 200m. She ran times of 12.07 and 25.29.

Ackerman was fourth in the 100m and eighth in the 200m with times of 12.31 and 26.25, helping the Bulldogs to an additional six points.

In the hurdles Redlands had five scoring finishes including three that made it to the podium. Leading the way in the 100m and 400m Hurdles was Ella Bachmeier (Rancho Capistrano, CA) who was the runner-up in the 100m Hurdles and third in the 400m Hurdles. She ran a 14.72 in the 100m and a personal best time of 1:04.65 in the 400m, the fifth fastest in program history.

Elee Faulkner (Blaine, WA) was fifth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.88 and was the top Bulldog finisher in the 400m Hurdles as she was the race runner-up, finishing in a time of 1:03.60.

The third scorer in the 100m Hurdles was Elisabeth Eichinger (Yucaipa, CA) who ran a personal best time of 16.46 taking eighth.

Joining a plentiful number of underclass athletes who scored was first-year Eve Mavy (Thayne, WY) who collected three points and took sixth in the 3000m Steeplechase with a personal best time of 12:05.47. Mavy was also the anchor on the 4x400 Relay team that was fifth (4:06.61) and included Eichinger, Faulkner, and Bachmeier.

The other relay team, the 4x100, was the conference runner-up as they got eight points. Maigan Adams (Los Angeles, CA) was the lead-off followed by Ackerman, Harness, and first-year Sabrina Semmere (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA).

In the high jump a pair of first-years got the Bulldogs 6.5 points with Madison Eaton (Rocklin, CA) earning five points for her fourth-place finish and Faulkner in seventh. Eaton jumped 1.52m/4' 11.75" on her fourth height and Faulkner cleared 1.47m/4' 9.75" on her third height. For Eaton that is a new personal best.

Following a dominate championship from Aw, Christen Wiley (South San Francisco, CA), and Adams added to the success in the Long and Triple Jump as they took third and fourth in the Long Jump and fifth and second, respectively, in the Triple Jump.

Wiley posted a personal best 5.20m/17' 0.75" mark on her second attempt in the Long Jump and ended her Triple Jump with a sixth attempt 10.62m/34' 10.25" as she came away with 10 points in the two events.

Adams collected five points thanks to a third jump 5.18m/17' 0" in the Long Jump and eight points in the Triple thanks to another successful early attempt, this time her second, of 11.33m/37' 2.25".

Savannah Engler (Petaluma, CA) was eighth in the Pole Vault after clearing 3.07m/10' 0.75".

Thanks to a very successful string of running and jumping events, the Bulldogs were in a good position that the throwing athletes just improved upon. Overall, there were seven scoring finishes across the Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer.

Starting in the shot put, Timony Sherry (Shoreline, WA) finished on the podium in third place with a fourth throw of 11.41m/37' 5.25" as she got the Bulldogs six points. She added three more points following a sixth-place finish in the Discus as she threw 34.07m/111' 9" twice to end her event.

With Sherry in sixth and Havel winning the discus, Noelle Chavez (Yucaipa, CA) was second with eight points after a great start that included a 38.39m/125' 11" throw on her second attempt.

The fourth scorer in the discus was Leslie Sernaque Falcon (Concord, CA) who came in fifth place with a fifth throw distance of 35.68m/117' 1". She led the Bulldog throwers with a third-place finish in the Hammer as she posted a new personal best on her first throw which went 45.06m/147' 10".

The second Hammer scorer was Grace Beaty (Upland, CA) who added to the six points from Falcon with three points and a sixth-place finish. Her best throw came on her fourth attempt as she threw 40.27m/132' 1".

The SCIAC Championships do not signal the end of the regular season as the Bulldogs still have three meets before the NCAA Division III National Championships at the end of May as the first of those meets will be this Saturday, May 6 at noon in Eagle Rock at the Occidental Invitational.
