Redlands Track & Field posts ten personal bests at Oxy Distance Carnival

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The University of Redlands Track and Field teams sent a small contingent of athletes to the Occidental Distance Carnival on Saturday where they recorded ten personal best times.

Men

Leading the charge for the men was Ronan Byrne (Portola Valley, CA) who took sixth in the 800m as he set a new personal best time of 1:55.21.

Two other notable finishes came courtesy of Enrique Verschoor (Mar del Plata, Argentina) and Rogelio Salcido (Beaumont, CA) who came in fourth and seventh in the 10,000m with personal best times of 31:33.62 and 32:34.93.

Women

On the women's side Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) just missed a top-three finish in the 800m as she took fourth with a personal best time of 2:16.44.

Isabella Anderson (Severn, MD) was 11th in the 3000 Steeplechase with a time of 13:29.41. It was her second collegiate steeplechase as she set a new personal best time that was 5.27 seconds faster than a week ago at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Multi Dual where she took sixth.

The Bulldogs will now look forward to staying home for their first of three meets inside Ted Runner Stadium as they host the Redlands Invitational on Friday, March 17 beginning at 3:30 p.m.
