
2023 University of Redlands Track and Field Schedule
REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Track & Field 2023 Schedule was released Wednesday according to Head Coach Mike Schmidt. The Bulldogs will open their season with a pair of trips to Northern Arizona University (NAU) for the Ron Mann Invitational on February 3-4 and then the NAU Tune-Up February 17 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Overall, during the 2023 season the Bulldogs have a total of 18 meets if you include events on the same day but different locations along with the NCAA Division III Track & Field Outdoor Championships. There are three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) multi-duals, one of which the Bulldogs will host on April 1 at 10:00 a.m. The dual is one of three home meets inside Ted Runner Stadium with the Redlands Invitational occurring on March 17 at 3:30 p.m. and then the Redlands Final Qualifier on May 17-18.
Other events for the Maroon and Grey on the schedule include a trip to Newport News, VA for the CNU Qualifier and Combined Events (February 25-26), the Boston University Last Chance Meet (February 26), Oxy Distance Carnival (March 11), the Jim Click Multis (Hosted by University of Arizona | April 6-7), Whittier Twilight Meet (April 7), Pomona-Pitzer Invite (April 8), and the Brian Clay Invitational (Hosted by Azusa Pacific | April 14).
In 2022 the Bulldogs had a great return to full competition with nine different men's athletes posting ten, Top-10 program times and marks, and 11 different women's athletes posting 23 Top-10 program times and marks. Twelve Bulldogs who posted Top-10 marks last season will return in 2023, which includes two program record holders on the women's side, Alexandra Ackerman (Lake Elsinore, Calif.) in the 100M and 4x100M Relay and Sydney Harness (Henderson, Nev.) in the 4x100M relay.

- Boston University Last-Chance Meet (Feb. 25, Boston, Mass.): Former Bulldogs Tucker Cargile and Andrea Lyon each competed in this event last year and finished 26th (mile) and 8th (400M), respectively.
- SCIAC No. 1 (Mar. 4, Pasadena): Won 2-1 and 3-0 (M/W) at SCIAC No. 1 hosted by Chapman University last season.
- NCAA Indoor Championships (Mar. 10-11, Birmingham, Ala.): Sent Cargile and Lyon last season. Cargile took second in the mile (second fastest all-time at the championships behind the race winner) and Lyon was 11th in the 400M.
- Oxy Distance Carnival (Mar. 11, Eagle Rock): Had two Top-10 finishes in 2022.
- Redlands Invitational (Mar. 17): 23 Total Podium finishes in 2022.
- SCIAC No. 2 (Apr. 1, Ted Runner Stadium): Went 2-0 on both the men's and women's side in 2022.
- Jim Click Multis (Apr. 6-7, Tucson, Ariz.): Scheduled to compete in 2020 before COVID-19 cancelled it. Last competed in 2019.
- Whittier Twilight (Apr. 7): 18 Podium finishes in 2022.
- Pomona-Pitzer Invite (Apr. 8): Two individual wins last season in 2022.
- Brian Clay Invitational (Apr. 14, Azusa Pacific University): Cargile took third in the 1500m last season.
- SCIAC No. 3 (Apr. 15, Eagle Rock): Both teams swept the competition going 3-0 in 2022.
- SCIAC Championships (Apr. 29-30, La Verne): Men took fourth and women were runners-up last season.
- Occidental Invitational (May 13, Eagle Rock): 25 Top-10 finishes combined between the two teams last season.
- Redlands Final Qualifier (May 17-18): 12 Podium finishers and five wins in 2022.
- NCAA Outdoor Championships (May 25-27, Rochester, N.Y.): Four total Top-10 finishes and the Women's 4x100m relay team took second.
