Christian Megas Named SCIAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Sophomore sprinter Christian Megas (Palmdale, CA) significantly helped the University of Redlands men's track and field team to two wins at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) No. 1 Multi-Dual against Cal Lutheran University (94-57) and Chapman University (107-46). Megas was named SCIAC Track Athlete of the Week for his stellar performances on Ashel Cunningham Track last weekend.

Megas took the top spot in 200 M Dash crossing the finish line in 22.53 and took second in the 100 M Dash stopping the clock in 11.07.

Megas also contributed his talents to the first-place 4x400 Relay. Along with junior Jamir Jones (Fairfield, CA), and seniors Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) and Jason Waters (Troutdale, OR) the quartet outraced the competition with a winning time of 3:27.61, nearly ten seconds in front of second place.

The Bulldogs return to action at the SCIAC Championships, hosted by Occidental College at Redlands' Ashel Cunningham Track in Ted Runner Stadium on Friday, May 7, at 11 a.m.
