It was recently announced that the University of Redlands collected multiple All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) awards in track & field for the Bulldogs' top-three finishes at the SCIAC Championships on April 27-28.

First-year mid-distance runner Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) was named the SCIAC Newcomer of the Year for his large contributions to the men's track & field team in the 2018 season. Cargile has taken the top spot in the 800 Meters in all three conference meets, including the SCIAC Championships. He now ranks 21st in the nation in NCAA Division III with a quick 800 time of 1:52.75. Cargile also contributed his talents to the 4x400 Relay along with teammates junior Nick Burchett (Gold River, CA), first-year Marvin Perkins Jr. (Las Vegas, NV), and sophomore Jordan Washecheck (Tulsa, OK). This speedy quartet also took the top spot at all SCIAC meets and ranks 24th in the country with a time of 3:18.45.  

The men as a whole enjoyed a standout championshi meet by snagging a spot on the podium in 12 events for 11 individual awards and two relays.
