Sophomore Jessica Fields Heads to Alabama for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

It was announced earlier today that sophomore Jessica Fields (Las Vegas, NV) will represent the University of Redlands at the 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10, in Birmingham, AL. 

Fields qualified for the national meet in the 60 Hurdles with the 13th-fastest mark of the season at 8.91, which came at the Northern Arizona University Tune-Up Meet on February 16.  The preliminaries of her event take place on Friday at 11:45 a.m. PT, with the finals slated for 12:10 p.m. PT on Saturday.

The top 17 women qualify for the individual events, while the top 15 men's competitors advance to nationals.  The meet also includes the fastest 12 relays for men and women.

The NCAA Indoor Championships take place at the Birmingham CrossPlex, with Birmingham-Southern College and the Birmingham CrossPlex serving as co-hosts.
