
The University of Redlands women’s track & field team
earned a spot on the 2009 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country
Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Women’s
All-Academic Track & Field Team, according to an announcement
made by the USTFCCCA on Thursday.
To be nominated, the team must carry a minimum 3.100 cumulative
grade-point average.
Redlands averaged a 3.411 cumulative GPA, which ranks 33rd among
those that were bestowed the academic citation.
Fellow Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
(SCIAC) members Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Pomona-Pitzer
Colleges also garnered a spot on the USTFCCCA Women’s
All-Academic Team.
The Bulldog women took sixth at the 2009 SCIAC Championships
and tied for 41st at the 2009 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track &
Field Championships.
