CSC Academic All-District Release

REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Swimming and Diving team had four athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The four Bulldogs honored were Leila Alejos (Portland, OR), Sydney Britton (Tacoma, WA), Abby Dimicco (Las Vegas, NV), and Sarah Szafranski (Houston, TX).

Redlands' four honorees are tied for the most in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Whittier College.  

Alejos, a double major in Sociolofy and Anthropology adds another academic honor to her accomplishments, joining her Dean's List recognitions for Fall 2019, 2020, 2021 and Spring 2020, 2021, and 2022. She was a member of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American teams in 2019-20 and this past fall 2022.  She was also a Redlands Scholar-Athlete and a member of the SCIAC All-Academic team in 2019-20.

Britton who is majoring in Business Administration adds this All-District honor to her place on the CSCAA Scholar All-American honor the Bulldogs women's team received. The Bulldogs ranked T-14th best grade point average (GPA) among 184 NCAA Division III teams.

Dimicco, an Environmental Science major adds this honor to her Dean's List recognitions in Fall 2019, 2020, 2021 and Spring 2020, 2021, and 2022. She is also a Redlands Scholar-Athlete, a member of the CSCAA Scholar All-American team, and was a SCIAC All-Academic team member.

Junior Szafranski who is double majoring in Mathematics and Environmental Science adds this all-district honor to her Fall 2020 and 2021 and Spring 2021 and 2022 Dean's List recognition.  She was also a Redlands Scholar-Athlete in 2020-21 and 2021-22 and was awarded the Dr. Allen R. Kilpatrick Pi Award in 2022.
