Madison Petschauer is a sophomore from Cary, N.C. and has made an impact in just a short amount of time for the University of Redlands Women's Swimming & Diving team. She is a member of two of the Top-10 fastest 200 Medley Relays team in school history, ranking No. 5 and No. 8.  She is also ranked No. 3 in the school record books in the 100 Breast, No. 4 in the 100 Fly, and No. 6 in the 200 IM. Petschauer was also on the 200 Medley Relay team that set the Thompson Aquatic Center (TAC) record at the Redlands Tri-Meet earlier this season.

To start off her 2021-22 season, Petschauer won the combined race that included the 100 Fly, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Free, and the 100 IM at the Bulldog Pentathlon in a time of 5:02.96.

Then at the Redlands Tri-Meet, she won the 100 Breast in 1:06.69, came in second in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:30.13, won the 200 IM in 2:13.62, and as previously mentioned, won, and set the home TAC pool record in the 200 Medley Relay in 1:49.07.

In a road dual-meet against SCIAC opponent Pomona-Pitzer, Petschauer picked up three wins, which included the 100 Breast (1:07.94), the 100 Fly (57.61), and the 200 Medley Relay (1:48.91). This relay winning time knocked off the previous fifth-fastest relay mark in school history set just seven days earlier.

After a three-week break, Petschauer helped the Bulldogs win the Puget Sound Logger Invitational held December 3-5.

At the Logger Invite she was on the winning 200 Medley Relay team that finished in 1:47.25 and for a third straight meet, re-set Redlands fifth fastest time in school history. Petschauer won two individual races in the 50 Fly with a new meet record time of 25:47, and in the 100 Breast, which she won in 1:06.76.

More significant than her two individual victories was her second-place finish in the 200 IM which she finished in 2:09.95, moving her to No. 6 All-Time in the record books.

Petschauer and the Bulldogs return to action on January 8 versus Puget Sound at the TAC.
