Excellence in Classroom Propels Bulldog Swimming & Diving Teams to CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands men's and women's swimming & diving teams each received the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honor for success in the classroom during the spring semester.  The award recognizes more than 600 teams for just the second time in the program's 30-plus-year history, marking a historical semester of academically successful teams throughout the country.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must own a GPA of 3.00 or higher during the spring semester.

Under the direction of Head Coach Leslie Whittemore, the Bulldog men and women both met the academic requirement, earning respective team GPAs of 3.00 and 3.32 among the nearly-60-person roster.

Redlands joins a variety of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools among those selected.  For a complete list of the honored teams, please visit the CSCAA website.
