The University of Redlands swimming teams competed in an informal, fun meet against Whitman College (WA) on Tuesday afternoon at the Thompson Aquatic Center.  Among the unique events, the swimmers joined forces in co-ed relays for backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and medley, while also competing in individual freestyle races.  Overall, the Bulldogs prevailed in the combined scoring by one point, 105-104.  As a team, the women collected a 44-13 win, while the men fell by a score of 14-43.

Redlands out-touched the competition in the mixed 200 Breast Relay, with the quartet of sophomore Jessica Rivers (Renton, WA), sophomore Ellie Jaques (Covina, CA), freshman Brian Wright (Kent, WA), and freshman Harlan Long (Orland Park, IL) putting together a time of 2:03.39.

The fun continued in the mixed 200 Fly Relay, as the quartet of senior Eric LoPrete (Beaverton, OR), freshman Olivia Rock (Boulder, CO), Jaques, and Depew provided another first-place performance with a time of 1:45.35.

Individually, the Bulldog women swept the top-three finishes of the 200 Free, with Rivers (2:03.77) headlining the trio as the overall winner.
